Dylan Chan
Overview
Dylan Chan (b. 1997) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice moves fluidly between image-making, installation, and painting. A graduate of LASALLE College of the Arts (BFA, Hons, 2022), he has received accolades such as the Winston Oh (Practice) Award (2018, 2022) and nominations for the Takifuji Art Award (2022) and Sovereign Art Prize (2024).
Through his work, Chan explores the intersections of queerness, identity, and materiality, often pushing the boundaries of surfaces and textures. His interest lies in how the body relates to spaces, particularly domestic environments, and how objects shape our phenomenological experiences. By blending personal and collective narratives, Chan reexamines thresholds of intimacy, queerness, and the unseen dynamics between private and shared spaces.
